On Saturday I went to the fair with my friend Christy to see the renowned Broadway show," The Marvelous Wonderettes".
It was on the day of a barbecue too, so we got to eat snow cones before
the show. it surprised me that it was actually a four- woman show, but
it was still really funny! One aspect I really liked was the fact
that I knew a lot of the songs they were singing, especially because
they took place in the 50's and 60's. I spent the rest of the weekend
watching the Olympics, including the fantastic Opening Ceremony!
Everyone was incredulous when Queen Elizabeth, age about 90,
parachuted off a chopper to the Olympic stadium. Seriously, you can see
the audience with faces like this : O______O Also, I can't believe how
Danny Boyle (creator of Slumdog Millionaire) incorporated Mr.
Bean into the whole " Chariots of Fire" sequence! I remember him from
when I was really little, and he's still so funny! My favorite events
are swimming, gymnastics, and volleyball. On other news, I started knitting ANOTHER scarf, because my knitting abilities are that limited. It's a very tedious job, but my parents keep buying yarn cheap, and I keep putting it to use.
