Or is it Inception?

On Saturday I went to the fair with my friend Christy to see the renowned Broadway show," The Marvelous Wonderettes". It was on the day of a barbecue too, so we got to eat snow cones before the show. it surprised me that it was actually a four- woman show, but it was still really funny! One aspect I really liked was the fact that I knew a lot of the songs they were singing, especially because they took place in the 50's and 60's. I spent the rest of the weekend watching the Olympics, including the fantastic Opening Ceremony! Everyone was incredulous when Queen Elizabeth, age about 90, parachuted off a chopper to the Olympic stadium. Seriously, you can see the audience with faces like this : O______O Also, I can't believe how Danny Boyle (creator of Slumdog Millionaire) incorporated Mr. Bean into the whole " Chariots of Fire" sequence! I remember him from when I was really little, and he's still so funny! My favorite events are swimming, gymnastics, and volleyball. On other news, I started knitting ANOTHER scarf, because my knitting abilities are that limited. It's a very tedious job, but my parents keep buying yarn cheap, and I keep putting it to use.

Is this the real life...? Is this just fantasy?

I went with my friends to Tanforan this weekend to buy school supplies. Lol, we're so Asian, we only shop at the mall for school stuff -u-. I finally got color pencils, notebooks, fancy pens, and all that stuff from Target. Then we just trolled around Ichibankan. A lot of stuff there is so cute~ So many folders, pencils, sticky notes, all with cute chubby animals on them :) My friends made me buy this really useless looking pencil so that we'd be "matching". Thankfully, it works well. I also bought this really good soda candy there, and I remember I loved the actual soda when I was a kid. There's this crystal marble in the glass that's really hard to get out, oh, I think the brand name is Ramune. It's really fun shopping with your friends because they ask you which stuff you should get. Also, the notion of 3 for 1 deals! $$$ Oh, so when we were driving back home, there was a group of cyclists in their fancy gear beside us. It was kinda strange because it was late at night, and their tail lights were on. I waved to the lead cyclist, and he waved back! This week I got bombarded with info about the 2012 London Summer Olympics. They gave out an abundance,150,000 condoms in Olympic Village, and a 17-year old tried to take away the Olympic torch, which wasn't a well-thought out move on his part. Today, I received a letter. Not an email, a letter. It's a senior from my new high school! I guess since she's the vice-president it's like a very older version of the "buddy program". ~Buuddddyy~ *^*. I'm reading the third second book of three trilogies that were popular this year. Delirium was my favorite, then Divergent, then Matched. These societies are like totally depressing nowadays -_-'' Oh, I finished the Perfect Chemistry trilogy too! Thank god, or else the movie would've ruined it. I was bored this week, so I knitted. It takes FOREVER since I have no patience. There was construction on the second floor this week, and it was so cantankerous! I went to the window while wearing my pajamas, and when I opened it to see what was outside, I saw a guy transcending on this deck connected to some tractor thing coming to my floor! I quickly shut the window, but I was resilient. Yay! This might be the first time I wrote more than 250 words!

And so...Life continues

Hello teacher-sensei! Errrr...I'm not really sure what I did this weekend. Oh, ok vocab words, let's do this! My friend came to my house this weekend, to complain about a mediocre supermarket. Since this store is on our street, she bought flour from said establishment. Then, they found out it expired....5 years ago. I'm pretty sure this is not legitimate in any place that sells food.  I finished knitting my scarf for my friend, and although it was a feasible task, I'm probably never going to do it again.Sadly, a trip to Six Flags with a buddy has been cancelled because it was anachronistic. I'm still addicted to Boys Over Flowers!!! Kya~ Apparently this drama is pervasive. In the library, there is a wall filled with stickers of books elementary schoolers like. I glance at it, and I notice that about half of them were Boys Over Flowers, the manga. First of all, I wonder why elementary students like the manga, because it's sssoooo much worse from the drama.   Then I think, " Holy chiz! Why are elementary schoolers reading books like this!!! I know they are young because of their sloppy handwriting. I only started watching the drama because I heard of the manga, and it popped up on the first page of Netflix :) I'm hoping my friend will send me a link so I can watch The Glee Project undisturbed!!!

Once Again... "Life"

I had my FIRST sleepover at a friend's house! Well, technically, I also slept over in another friend's house, but since I live in a condo, she's LITERALLY one floor below me :P Anyways, my friend's house is really nice, and surrounded by other pretty houses and such! I remember because we went there on my BIRTHDAY. Speaking of which, my OTHER friend's birthday is today!!!! I'm currently knitting her a scarf, which takes FREAKIN' forever! The reason I'm not using names is because my friends will probably be pissed if I do  -_-".  Did you notice that I CAPITALIZED random words? In "Cask of the Amontillado", Edgar Allen POE does that for some reason. I'm starting to watch this Korean drama called "Boys Over Flowers." I'm so addicted, but my parents BLOCKED off my computer! Ok it's really weird capitalizing words, so Imma notz gonna do that anymo'. That reminds me.

More..."Life"?

It's the 4th of July! Ahahahaha... I finally got my graduation photos!!! Hehe everyone dances funny, I mean, animatedly~ It was so cold that day and we were outside when we graduated! All the girls wore dresses and makeup (and some guys too...jk) Boardwalk was really fun! All your friends forcing you to go on rides like the Fireball. I remember in the Fright Walk I ran into the same mirrors over and over again and since two of us were closing our eyes and the other person can't see well, we got lost! Now that we're going to high school I'm suffering a sever case of nostalgia. Goodbye my youth! I must get Dippin' Dots again. My friend Margaret moved to the Philippines but we're keeping in touch through email! She is an auspicious and authentic writer and we both have a caustic passion to be authors in the future!

"Life"

Today, while I was doing my math homework, I flashbacked to the time I wrote a story about numbers for my math teacher. Now, here's the sequel!

"Why do I have to be paired up with him!" wailed x. "y is such...a guy! As in Y-chromosomes! He means nothing to me! y=0! Worst of all, I have to be in the exact same place as him if we were a pair! Oh, why couldn't I just be on a different plane!"  "All us variables have a hard life! Didn't you see z! He just got substituted, and crossed out of the equation. Or worse, we can be eliminated and cease to exist..." y said bitterly. " I didn't think your thinking was parallel to mine! I guess I don't want to be just a lonely x-intercept..." x said softly. " Don't worry, as long as our slopes are not equal, there will always be a point we must intersect!" said y to x, using an inductive tone.

My math homework is still not done.

Hm, well last week i just got back from a cruise to Mexico! I went on a waverunner. The thing is, if you fall off, you fall into the deep, deep ocean. Where you will get salt in your eyes that will burn like hell. But I didn't, so it's alright. There was an ice cream dispenser on the cruise~ Oh, and there was a lot of military backup in Cabo. Apparently lots of important people are meeting there, and they are not taking ANY chances. This was the first time in my life where I saw a guy holding a real machine gun. Also having a military tank pull up against you on the freeway is kind of funny.

Meter

Definition: a recurring pattern of stressed (accented, or long) and unstressed (unaccented, or short) syllables in lines of a set length.

Example:
That time | of year | thou mayst | in me | behold

Significance: Meter in poetry and verse lets the reader/speaker understand how to read it, and the flow of the poem. The rhythm of the poem is also really related to the meter. This makes it easier to see the pattern of the words.
